Spring fasting 2018, day 6 - Just Go Pink!

Spring fasting 2018, day 6

We experience the law of attraction

Having 3 “meals” per day, be they small, sort of makes us return to our normal daily routine. That is, as far as we have a routine. We have our morning habits consisting of yoga, meditation and breakfast. But after that, there’s no real routine. We go with the flow. But not before breakfast.

Nowadays, it’s usually Christophe who’s in charge of preparing breakfast, which consists of either an elaborate muesli or a heavenly smoothy. However, today I took matters into my own hands and prepared a small muesli. That is, little muesli but quite some fruit. I added cinnamon and a bit of vanilla extract to change from the usual. One should never be too lazy to spoil oneself… 😉 Fortified, we attacked the day.

On the hunt for a new (used) car

Christophe is busy with the final tuning of Ananda. And looking for another car. Because even though we desire a nomadic life, we aren’t 20 anymore, and wish to take along a bit more stuff than just what we can carry on our backs.

First, we had decided on a Volkswagen T5, but they apparently have a high risk of mishap from a certain age on. And since we don’t want to buy a new car, the age we would be looking at would be that certain age.

We are now looking at the Opel Vivaro instead, and that seems to be the better alternative. It’s as spacious as the VW T5, but without the bad rep. We have found a couple of Opels on mobile.de that seem to tick all the boxes of our wish list. The only thing is, we’ve never seen one up close, let alone driven one.

So this afternoon, we took one for a test drive. We found one for sale not far from here, and under the pretence of being interested in that car, we took it for a test drive. And we liked it a lot. It steers light, is comfortable and the motor doesn’t make much noise. Satisfied, we thanked the salesperson and headed out.

Next stop: a second hand shop. We dumped all the stuff we have so far decided to get rid of there. Let’s hope someone will be very happy with our old things. It has created a bit of space here. Not much yet, but it’s a start.

Good news, twice over

Back home, I checked my emails and we landed on cloud nine. First, there was a response from an Ayurvedic doctor in London that I had asked if she would be interested in testing Ananda and helping us fill it with more information. She responded in a very positive and encouraging way.

We have only contacted 3 Ayurvedic professionals so far. Two have responded, both positive. Which means that Ananda is indeed something that could have added value for Ayurvedic professionals. Thank heaven for that, because it is what we hope to derive our income from.

Second, there was an email through TrustedHouseSitters.com. We had applied for a sit in the SW of France from September 20st to November 7th. The owner had replied that they were reviewing applications, and that they would be in touch within a couple of days, if they were interested in engaging us. It had been a few days, and now they wrote to us that they wanted to speak to us on Skype, and if that went well, they would engage us. Ha! I replied and suggested we Skype tomorrow at 10 in the morning and they agreed. Fingers crossed…

House and pet sitting in exchange for free boarding

Our membership of TrustedHouseSitters.com has really payed off big time. Within a couple of weeks, we managed to get confirmed for house sits (all of them in France) from the beginning of June until -if all goes well tomorrow- the 7th of November. That is 5 months without rent. Living in beautiful houses in gorgeous surroundings. With dogs, cats, horses, fish and poultry to take care of. And gardens to look after. And pools.

Ask and it will be given (law of attraction)

We are getting better and better in trusting the universe (or whatever you wish to call it) to provide us with what we wish for. The hardest part is to let go. Formulate your wishes and then let go. But really let go from within. Trust that everything will be alright. Not worry about the future. About money. About what might go wrong. Instead, to let go and trust that everything will be alright.

And it works! All those house owners who put their trust in us. Who choose us over others. Even though we have so far only done one house sit. We are extremely grateful to all of them. Thanks to them, we are headed towards a wonderful summer and autumn in France. We love life!
