We survived the first day of our spring fasting 2018 with relative ease. We’ve been alternating cups of warm water, warm water with ginger and rice water throughout the day. Haven’t taken the magnesium sulphate yet, we’ll do that tomorrow.

Daily routine
It is a bit strange though. Because we don’t eat, we don’t have the normal breaks where we prepare food and sit down together to eat it. That’s weird. I had never realised how much structure breakfast, lunch and dinner lend to the daily routine. Without those breaks, the day just flows on and on and on.
Fasting = talking and day dreaming about food
At some point during the day, I told Christophe that I am not sure if doing this together makes it easier or harder for me. I am able to sort of ignore the empty feeling, but he seems to be thinking about food constantly. And he shares his thoughts with me, which is a constant reminder of what is missing. But on the other hand, I am pretty sure I wouldn’t have held the entire day if I had been alone.
We agreed not to talk about food. Even so, the subject pops up on a regular basis. I wonder why that is? 😉
Fact is, together, we managed to fast the whole day, which is pretty cool for two foodies. I must admit that since 8 o’clock, I am dead tired, so I’m going to bed early. We’ll see what tomorrow brings.
The decluttering continues
I have spent most of my time today creating ads on eBay. And it works our quite well; I’ve sold three items within 24 hours of starting the ads and made a whopping € 265. I’m also putting together a pile of stuff to give to the second hand shop. And we’ve cleaned the apartment. That needed doing anyway, but we are going to take advantage of the cleanliness to take pictures tomorrow to put in and to find someone to rent the apartment after us.
