Yesterday evening, we used FaceTime for the first time in our lives. It worked well, but it only projects on half the screen, which is a bit narrow. Skype is better, in that respect. Still, we are happy with FaceTime, because it helped us score our third house sit 🙂
Our first pet- and house sit
The first is already behind us, and we’ve written about it quite extensively on this blog (see posts from here on).
Our second pet- and house sit
Our second pet and house sit will be from 29 June until 5 July in Blars, France. We’ll go there a day in advance to meet the owners and be instructed on all the details of the sit. There are three dogs, two cats, some poultry, and a house with an extensive garden, including a vegetable plot and a pool. That should keep us busy, but I’m sure we’ll love every minute of that week!
Our third and fourth pet- and house sit
As a result of our FaceTime conversation yesterday evening, we are now confirmed for 2 more sits. Both for the same owners in Chaillac, France. We’ll be staying there from 13 to 31 July and from 7 to 17 September. Taking care of three dogs, two cats and two donkeys. Plus a house with a garden and a pool.
And the father of the owner lives at 5 minutes from there, and he has 6 horses, and we might be able to ride. How perfect is that?
Trust
It is soo amazing to have the trust of these people without even having met in real life yet, and get these wonderful opportunities to live in their houses and take care of their animals for a while. It is no small responsibility, and you can bet on us doing everything within our power to make each and every sit a succes for all involved. We really are privileged to be able to do this.
