Getting up this morning, Christophe felt fine and I felt like total crap. I was dizzy, sweating profusely and had zero strength/energie. I even had to forego our daily yoga session! So while Christophe did yoga alone, I lay on the couch and ate an apple in slow motion. I did join him for a meditation, and that went really well. Hardly a thought entered my head, which is rare.
About one hour after getting out of bed, I felt better. We both have to be careful when getting to our feet. Too fast and the world spins dangerously. So this teaches us to be slow and mindful. For the rest of the day, we stuck to the programme and drank only warm water (with or without ginger) and warm rice water. Once, we mixed a bit of cinnamon and maple syrup with the rice water, which was a real treat.
During the course of the day, I fortunately felt better and better, and was able to do quite a lot. Nothing too physical of course, but I still managed to do a bit of triage and lots of stuff that requires a computer. (How on earth did we ever live without them?)
Since selling some stuff on eBay, we needed to go to the post office to send off one of the sold items. We did so in the afternoon. And since the weather has improved and spring seems just around the corner, we went for a small walk and enjoyed the sun, the air, the bird song and the surroundings.
We went to an ancient burial ground a couple of kilometers from here and had a look around. Pinched between a road and the rail tracks, there’s a small recreational area with some pastures and a bit of forrest. In the forrest lie 3 burial places. Very impressive to see. Imagine those people, thousands of years ago, creating chambers from huge stones with only their bodies and some tree trunks to get the things in place. They must have been extremely motivated!

Back home, we continued working on our project. My body seems to have adjusted quite well to the fast, in the sense that I am not particularly hungry. Christophe on the other hand is continuously hungry and suffers more than I. I think, but maybe it’s just the difference between men and women that gives me this impression….?
