When opportunity knocks, open that door with all your paws! - Just Go Pink!

When opportunity knocks, open that door with all your paws!

After lunch, we had Broyés du Poitou for dessert. We bought it because Christophe has memories of the specialty from his childhood. So when we saw it on offer, he couldn’t resist the temptation and bought one. Unfortunately, it wasn’t like he remembered, so half of it was still on the table when Christophe went to mow the lawn. I stayed at the table, working on my computer.

All of a sudden, I hear this terrible noise coming from the direction where Christophe is mowing. So I jump to my feet and sprint over there, with three dogs on my heels. The lawn mower has lost a part and something inside of it is touching something else, which creates the noise. We investigate and try to solve the problem, which in the end we can’t. While discussing the problem, I look in the direction of the table and find that the leftover piece of Broyés is on the grass with all three dogs heavily involved in consuming the last crumbs of it. It hadn’t taken them long to seize the opportunity and turn it to their advantage.

It’s too late to punish them, so I settle for a bit of grumbling and leave it at that. Apparently, the dogs like the Broyés much more than we do, so it’s no great loss to us.
